Canonical Statutes.
Although already designated with Sion Community {United Kingdom} as a canonical entity in the 1990’s Céilí Community was established, in its own right, as a Public Association of Christ’s Faithful by Bishop Michael Smith, Diocese of Meath, Ireland, in April 2015. These statutes recognise the collaborative nature of Céilí Community and its right to have its own priests and religious. All of this is consistent with Canon Law in agreement with the local Bishop. The motherhouse of the community is at Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.

Civil Statutes

Céilí Community from its inception applied and obtained civil recognition from the Irish Authorities. The community has always had “charity status” in Irish Law. However, in accordance with updated legal requirements the community applied to become “A Company Limited by Guarantee” with “Charitable Status”. This was granted in 2018. Céilí Community is a legally recognised Religious Community in Ireland with its Charity Registration number 20203746. The registered office of the community is at Cuan Phádraig, Harbour Road, Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.
