Cuan Phádraig
Our Community Home and H.Q. is called "Cuan Phádraig" which is Gaelic for "Patrick's Harbour". We opened it as a Teaching, Training and Conference Centre in 2016, specialising in residential and day courses for up to 60 people. Set in seven acres of fields and garden, the setting is ideal for the soul in search of a tranquil and relaxing break.  Cuan Phádraig is run by community members and volunteers working closely together to make sure each guest is made to feel welcomed and cared for in a relaxing and peaceful environment which encourages each person to meet God in this special place. The venue provides a flexible, friendly and hospitable approach to each group or individual guest, without the rigid corporate feel of a large organisation.

Travel

We are situated in a picturesque rural area, a short walk from the small town of Kilbeggan.  larger towns of Mullingar, Tullamore and Athlone about half an hour 's drive away.

There is easy access to the main Motorway (M 6) which connects Dublin to Galway. There is a good bus service connecting Kilbeggan to Dublin City and Dublin Airport (1 hour 30 minutes) and Kilbeggan to Galway City (1 hour 30 minutes). There is a train service from Dublin to Clara (50 minutes)

There is plenty of car parking space in our grounds including provision for those with disabilities.

Environs

We have a walled garden with apple trees, flowers, shrubs and vegetables. There is also a greenhouse. There are many places in the surrounding area for pleasant walks, running and other exercise.
